Cesare Mario Puzzi

ATI communication responsible and hydrobiologist of the project

Ichthyologist and CEO of G.R.A.I.A. S.r.l.

My name is Cesare Mario Puzzi, I have been a veterinarian since 1989 and together with friends and colleagues I founded GRAIA in 1991. My profession is the ichthyology, born from my natural passion for fish and fishing. Over the years and with a little experience gained thanks to the multidisciplinary work and the need to understand also the points of view of engineers, landscapers, agronomists, foresters, naturalists, geologists, biologists, livestock and many other professionals, today I deal with environmental projects, whose common thread is always water. River corridors and fish passages, with the requalification of lakes and rivers, are the issues that involve me the most and that excite me every day.

Raffaella Giordano

Welcome Manager and Tour Operator

Raffaella Giordano

Welcome Manager and Tour Operator

Owner of the travel agency and tour operator Insite Tours with operational headquarters in the heart of Cuneo (in Via Pascal 7) and in Saluzzo (in Piazza Risorgimento 1) where I manage the tourist promotion office, I create tourist packages for the whole territory and for the Terre del Monviso (IT / FR), that I coordinate through the nascent «Gates of the Valleys». In Cuneo we manage the ticket office and guided tours in the fourteenth-century Civic Tower, in the training school I teach technical, psychology and tourist communication. Together with two alpine guides I founded the World Ski Tour® brand, ski mountaineering trips in Cuneo and around the world; from 2011 I’m a tour guide.

My name is Raffaella Giordano and I have been working in tourism for 27 years. I learned to do tourism in the highest level school in Italy, Alpitour, still today the leading holiday tour operator that I left to open my incoming tourism business in Southern Piedmont. During this working transition, I dedicated a year of work and study to the most important museum and entertainment systems in Italy – including the Duomo of Siena, the Maxii in Roma, the Uffizi in Firenze, the Porto Antico in Genvoa – , participated in the creation of a new tour operator, conceived packages centered on culture and events, launched an interesting tourist proposal – for the first time in Italy – linked to trekking on the Via Francigena. In my territory I participated in important cross-border projects: the Véloviso / VisitMove / Terres Monviso project which led to the drafting of three guides / books (Bike, Trekking and Winter), to the development of a cross-border map of outdoor circuits and maps «tear-off » for accommodation facilities; the Pescatour project – Fishing tourism in the Gesso and Roja Valleys, within which I worked on the tourism organization plan, awareness raising and promotion of fishing tourism. The projects, the teaching, the management of an ancient asset such as the Civic Tower and of the prestigious Saluzzo tourism office – within which we are the protagonists of a real revolution in tourism management -, are the flowers all eyelet of my exciting job.

Beppe Giacobbe

Illustrator

Artist

Beppe Giacobbe was born in 1953 in Milan. He studied Painting at the Brera Academy and illustration at the School of Visual Arts in New York. He is an illustrator but music is the other half of his sky. He has a reserved character, a type common to many illustrators perhaps for the fact that they work in solitude bent over the table like little Geppetto in the belly of the Whale, but it is his illustrations that speak for him. Visionary Dictionary – Beppe Giacobbe from A to Z (Lazy dog Press publisher) is a monograph, a collection of works where his personality comes out into the open. Beppe is a basketball player, like when he was a boy: he goes to the point, it is essential, concrete, precise, without smudges. He fights silently with shoulder pads throughout the field with maximum energy and concentration because making a basket is a point for the team (the page of the newspaper, the cover of a book …).

He teaches at ISIA in Urbino.

Maxime Prevedello

Stakeholder and French translator of the Application Dossier

I was a physical education teacher and, at the end of my career, a member of a middle school management. Since my retirement at the end of 2012, my activity has mainly focused on the representation of French-speaking fishermen at the Swiss FSP Fishing Federation where I am also responsible for the communication and translation of texts from German to French and sometimes also to Italian. And above all … as soon as I can … I go fishing!!

Fisherman from the age of 10, I first practiced all kinds of fishing techniques (fishing with natural baits, spinning, boat fishing on the lake, etc.) to focus from the age of 35 onwards on fly fishing. Unrepended by the worrying evolution of aquatic environments, I quickly turned to the fishermen’s associations. Since 2009, I have been a member of the Executive Committee of the Swiss Fisheries Federation – https://sfv-fsp.ch/it/home/ – as spokesman for fishermen from French-speaking Switzerland. I am also the delegate of sports fishermen to the Fisheries Commission of the canton of Geneva and a member of the fishing company T.O.S (Truite (trout) – Ombre (temolo) – Saumon (salmon)), whose majority of members fish fly fishing.

Today he mainly builds dry flies, which is the fishing technique he prefers, using natural materials for their realization. He devotes his free time totally to fishing and building artificial flies trying to pass on his passion to the new fishermen who arrive at the club.

Wildlife photographer

My name is Francesco Guffanti and I was born in Milan in 1989, a large and chaotic city in the northern part of Italy. My bursting passion for nature was born in my youth thanks to my dad, who transmitted me the great passion for fly fishing and wildlife observation. My photographic experience began in 2005, in the mountains and woods of the Aosta Valley. In recent years, I have spent so much time trying to photograph the wild creatures, small and large, often very elusive, that inhabit the Alps. I tried, failed and tried again, living the incredible feelings that this type of photography is able to create and give you, as well as the most bitter disappointments. Every year, following the changing seasons, I try to make the most of the opportunities that nature grants me. From the mighty roar of deers that breaks the stillness of the autumn forests to the wild chamois races along the snowy slopes; from the songs and fights of black grouses to the love games of roe deer in the colorful summer meadows. No matter how hard the weather conditions sometimes can be, the Mountain has always something extraordinary to me, spectacles and unique emotions that you can’t find anywhere else.
